Return Policy:
When you purchase something from Maine Horse and Rider, we want you to love it! Not quite right? No problem!
You may return an item within 30 days from the date you received it for a full refund or exchange. The item must be in new condition with tags and original packaging, so if you’re not sure it will work for you, please keep it and the packaging in a clean, safe place.
Unfortunately, there are a few items that can’t be returned.
They are:
- Wormers
- Helmets (for safety reasons)
- Bits (due to health concerns and some state laws)
- Custom items
If you find a product is missing, wrong or defective, please call us right away (207) 989-7005. While we do our very best and double check your order, no one is perfect! Just let us know and we’ll take care of it for you.
If you’ve been using a product for awhile and it fails in less than a year, these situations are deemed warranty issues and are referred to the manufacturer for an assessment. If it is determined to be a manufacturing issue, your item will be repaired or replaced for free. While we have great relationships with our vendors and they stand behind their products for us, horses can be quite hard on things and some items cannot be replaced.
Shipping something back to us
If you need to return something to us, the best way is in the original packaging that we sent it in. If you can’t do that, please ensure that items that came in their own box, like helmets and boots, are returned in their boxes and enclosed in a shipping box. Please do not write on or attach labels to the manufacturer’s original box. We need to receive all items in new condition with tags and original packaging so that it may be resold. If an item comes back without original tags and boxes, you may incur a minimum 20% restocking fee. Return shipping costs will not be refunded unless it is an item that we sent to you in error. If your item is worth more than $75, we suggest shipping it with tracking. Maine Horse and Rider cannot be responsible for items lost on their way back to us.
